Course curriculum

Course Objectives:

  • Participant will be able to examine the distinctive impact of a parent's severe illness or injury on children through a comprehensive analysis of a relevant case study.

  • Participant will be able to explore effective communication strategies for supporting children whose adult parents are facing a severe illness or injury, considering the unique challenges in both hospital and community settings.

  • Participant will be able to evaluate anticipatory grief interventions as a means to provide proactive support for children experiencing the challenges associated with their adult parents' severe illness or injury in diverse healthcare and community environments.
