Course curriculum

Course Objectives:

  • Participant will be able to define ancillary loss as secondary losses that occur alongside major life events or traumas, emphasizing examples such as changes in routine, loss of security, and disruption of relationships.

  • Participant will be able to explore and highlight the implications of ancillary losses on a child's emotional well-being, development, and overall resilience, emphasizing the need for understanding and addressing these secondary effects in order to support healthy growth and coping mechanisms.

  • Participant will be provided practical strategies, interventions, and assessment tools designed to help children cope with ancillary losses, promoting resilience and fostering emotional.
